Introducing the Raising Bridges Dad: David Bridges

Raising Bridges Dad

Hi, nice to met you. My name is David Bridges and I’m a dad, husband, geek and super awesome guy (amount of awesome is still pending approval).

I work and live on the internet for most of the day, but when I’m AFK (away from the keyboard), I spend time with my super awesome family doing all sorts of fun and exciting activities.

I claim I’m a geek, but I’m sure there are some people that will protest that as I haven’t seen a single episode of Dr. Who. I’m into things like video games, professional wrestling, tv, movies and podcasts, but I’m starting to find that I’m enjoying more of the “behind-the-scenes” goings-on of my interests than the end product. I’m getting off-point and I’m sure I’ll discuss more of this as time goes on.

I first met my Rosemary when she was a senior in high-school. We’ve been pretty inseparable since. She’s been my love and my support for most of the crazy ideas I have.

Our two boys, Rafael and Gabriel, love to keep me on my feet. When I’m spending time with them, I’m usually playing with their cars, dinosaurs and Legos and imagining monsters are attacking and it’s our job to defend the world from devastation. When I am with them I truly feel like I’m 5 years old again and since I am a kid at heart, that’s when I am most comfortable. Being their dad is, by far, the best thing in the world and I love every minute of the day that I am able to spend time with them.

I felt that our Raising Bridges blog would help document our family experiences and give something for our kids to look back on in 20 years and have some fun reliving these memories. I’m sure you’ll enjoy and be inspired by some of our fun activities that we often do throughout the year and I encourage you all to follow along, ask questions and leave comments as we raise our little Bridges.

If you wish to follow along with all of my dad things, feel free to follow me on Twitter or Instagram.
